Christmas Cards - Angels

I did color in the wings and the halo but it just didn't pop enough for me so I added gold glass marbles to them and now it's shinny and pretty. I also didn't really want to do the traditional holiday colors so I used browns and blues! Simple but gleeful at the same time! ENJOY!

Cherry Kisses from Pollycraft Designs Christmas Card

This is a digital downloads from Cherry Kisses freebie from Pollycraft Designs in the UK. I added Martha Stewart's white glitter to the snowball and red for his hat ball. You can't see the white to much but it's there!

Waterless Snow Globe Cottage Style House!

I used a pear jar, fake snow and diorama items and created a waterless snow globe. This is the first of the three that I will create. This is the cottage style house, glitter, small trees, stars, snowflakes and feather type yarn around the lid. The picture was hard to take since it's round jar and every single location the light made a reflection. Even tried using my phone to take pictures but this is the best I could get. ENJOY!

Challenge at Cute Card Thursday

The challenge at Cute Card Thursday Challenge was to use primary colors Challenge #85 and Challenge #86 was to use glitter and snow scene so I choose bright colors and a penquin that was brightly colored with copic markers and of course my favorite product STICKLES! I love the fine point that the bottle has to create little dots all over the pages!! On the side is stamped Christmas lights with stickles and some snow that is called tiny glass marbles! I may have submitted late for the primary colors challenge since today is Thursday! I forgot to post it last night!!!

The Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge

Ok so I joined the challenge for a pop-up card at Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge. This was a bit a hard card to make - if you look closely you can see that I have a mistake in the folding line - but it's not really all that bad!! Enjoy! I used a digital download called Cherry Kisses on a snowball that is covered with glass balls, colored in with copic markers, buttons, and random scrap pieces of paper that matched!

New things...

Well I joined a health club and started scrapping again. To me scrapbooking is a winter sport because there is not much to do otherwise. I did create a few Halloween cards but didn't photo them because I did them last minute. I used Hambo stamps *Hippo* and glittered the cards so the kids loved them!! Will start posting work again!

New Work of Art

I really need to either get a new camera or take classes on how to take better pictures. It seems most of my pictures are always dull and don't show the true colors of my work! UGGH

Here is a plastic according 5x7 booklet that I made some 'enhancements' to.

I had to make tags to attach to flower pots as a favor for my cousin's daughter's 1st communion and here they are! I used a Caterpillar stamp from Hambo, My Favorite Things Stamp (you make me smile) and My Favorite Things Stamp (thank you) on the inside with a picture she picked out and several different paper scraps!

Mom's Surprise 60th Birthday

I have been busy lately organizing and hiding favors and invitations. I made a favor box out of pastel colored paper from a template I found online. I stuffed the favor boxes with Lindt chocolate balls, Giradelli chocolate and Hersey kisses - that had a circle label on the bottom saying Marlene's 60Th Birthday. The stamp is a penguin with a Popsicle colored in with gold stickles.

Here are some pictures of the invitations that I made using a digital download from Dottie's World, silk flowers, buttons, stamp from Around the Corner Shop, a template I found online, paper pack from Bad Girls Kits and the invitation was a tag. I wish the photo came out better the colors were so bright, festive and fun!

Needless to say she really didn't know that the 30 favor boxes and the gift bags in my scrap room were for her party - thank goodness we have several events this month so I said it was for one or the other event and she believed me!!!

Here is a picture of the favor boxes...

Spring is Almost here

I haven't blogged in a while, been busy with party arrangements and favors for my niece's 3rd birthday, my mother's surpise 60th birthday - I have to post the pictures of the invites - they were so colorful!!. I have been determined to set aside time three nights a week to get things done! I have to!

I have finished a few books that I suggest for those looking for quick reads - The House of Night Series - another vampire book by P.C. Cast and Subterranian by James Rollins - a suspenseful end of the world race against time book! Excellent reads!
