Here is the Christmas cards I'm making for the Facebook Group Girls, Giggles, Glitter and Glue. I have to make a total of 10 cards.
I wanted to create a funky card that was cut in the middle. Something different, bright with Holiday Cheer.
For this project I went to AC Moore for the solid paper colors as I wanted Bazzil paper which is a bit harder but not as hard card stock. I then cut out a part of the front of the card and Santa and the Tree are holding the card together. The Santa and Tree are actual tags I purchased in Walmart for gifts. They were the perfect size for this project. I was going to connect the top and bottom with the word Noel using my cricut but decided these were way more festive.

I finally finished my Christmas Tags for my Facebook group friends Girls, Giggles, Glitter and Glue.
I used Tim Holtz Snowman Stamp on the whitiest card stock I can find. I used my chalk ink in black. The stamp came out fine and dark. I then took maybe about 1 hour or more to cut them out. I then purchased blue & white glitter paper from Joann Fabrics. I stamped the Snowman on the white glitter paper - it didn't turn out that great with the glitter - some of the wording was a bit messy - but I was going to cover it up anyway with the paper piecing. I choose blue, white and silver for the tags, I love using blue at Christmastime. It's different and funky but still so pretty.
I then added the paper pieced Snowman to the white tag, then I decided to go over the stamp with a sharpie as the black seemed to look dull and faded. This was ok as the stamp is a 'rough drawing' so the lines did not have to be perfect.
I then decided to add some textured paint to make it look like snow. All I did was combine white paint with sand - the best part is that I started out with a sponge paint brush but used my finger and it looked so much better. You do need to add a few layers to get a complete effect of snow. I used my heat gun to dry it.

I needed a small box so I decided to use my Birchbox for this guy that attends my spin class. He is like 70 and goes to the gym everyday. Spin class everyday !! I tried to keep this box as "manly" as I could but I realized that I have more stuff for girls than guys, so I used some fall colors. He is leaving the gym because he is moving so he will no longer be the staple of the class. He is really a fun guy to workout with I will miss him. In the box is a minature old fashioned bike that is rusty and has a basket on it. I thought he would get a kick out of it.
