Planner charm bracelets

I made a few planner charms for my upcoming holiday ornament swap.  All products I purchased from Michaels and one site from eBay.  Making them were a bit tedious but I did this while waiting for The Walking Dead to come on in Sinday night.  I hope they enjoy these!!

Listers Gotta List Challenge

I joined The Reset Girl's Listers Gotta List challenge in October and I'm just starting the list for November.  I love doing this for October and finished all but 4 of the prompts.  It was so much fun to have something each day to do, if you want daily.  I liked that I could use the 'scraps' from kits that I have not used in a while and the chipboard that I don't use on my scrapbook layouts these days.  It's a great way to recycle your stash and also be creative at the same time.

Here are some of my images from October's Lister's Gotta List Challenge.

Christmas Ornament Swap

I made these ornaments for my swap buddies. The globe snow and ribbon I purchased at Michaels. The Angel I purchased at AC Moore. I sprayed gold glimmer most in the inside then dabbed it to create a foiled / antique effect.

Fall Folliage Pictures

Went for a fabulous 4 mile walk today.  The place is called the Walkway Over the Hudson located in Poughkeepsie NY.  The weather was a bit of an overcast and I wore a hat and an infinity scarf with a light jacket but the pictures and colors of the trees were absolutely amazing.

Pocket letter swap

Some of my friends from the Croppers Delight Scrapbooking group will be meeting at the Scrapbook Expo convention this weekend and we decided to do a Pocket Letter exchange.  We picked one person in the group and was required to make 2 pocket letters for that one person.  I also made one for each of the other girls for a total of 9.  These are 7 that I made for the other girls.

I know they all like butterflies so I purchased this paper from Michaels, then I added Shimmerz Dazzlerz in Tutti Fruitti with a grid type of layout.

This was my inspiration for the colors for these pocket letters.

I added the Prima Marketing Dolls stamp - currently 'undressed'

These are mini bracelet or necklace charms that I wanted to add to the front of the pocket letters

here are the 7 maids in a row all dazzeled up with glimmer mist, glossy accents, Stickles

I wanted to add a 3D effect to the back side as well so I punched out butterflies and added them diagonally

This is the completed front page of the pocket letter.  I also added a tassel that they can remove and add to their key chains or purse if they want to.

Here is the back page filled with goodies.  I have some Teresa Collins wood letters in the middle that I left uncolored as well so they can fancy it up if they'd like to.  I added paper clips in shapes of hearts, arrows and some have ribbon on them.  I also have wood shapes that are half colored with chalk and posts it flags that everyone can use at some point.

My latest addiction....Planners

Recently I ordered Marion Smiths planner because I loved the teal color with gold. It can be used all year long in my opinion. So I started researching what people do with their planners and how they organize them and fell in love with a few styles I found on Pinterest and Facebook. Paper and Glam; The Planner Society and The Reset Girl. They really have fab styles and are very creative!!

Here is my first monthly kit from the Planner Society

My aunts surprise 70th birthday party

I've been a bit busy for the last month creating the invitations, ordering the favors and organizing everything.  At one point I even called my aunt and lied about my mother running into one of her friends to get the friends address and it worked!!! She had no clue!! I called her a few more times asking questions about her favorite candy as a kid so I can re-create a candy bar like she had when she was a kid.   I'm having a few family members create poster boards with pictures of her from over the years and to sign as well, a great keepsake for her.  I also made everyone wear these t-shirts I ordered with her picture on it which was so much fun!! Her birthday cake is a bingo theme because she just loves bingo.  My mom and her family grew up in a very poor environment and lived on the riverside in what is called a creek but the family pronounces it 'crick'.

I tried to keep with a theme of somewhat "country" theme so I ordered some burlap products and some fancy products. I asked my mom what did you play with when you lived on the crick so I can give that type of party favor out as a fun flash back to simpler times and my mother said we played with rocks!! How could I give a rock out as a party favor??!?!

My Grandmother dressed my mom and her like this when they were kids.  I had a few family members change their Facebook profile for the day to this one.

Here are the pictures of the invitations and a few of the party favors!

Here is the bingo cake.
The frosting is whipped cream and strawberries inside.

The poster board with fun pictures it also lights up
