Knome hanging decorations

This is a fun craft to do with your kids or even adults.  I took a cardboard wrapping paper roll after I used all the wrapping paper and cut it into inch size pieces.  I purchased off white / creme yarn at Michaels for 3.99 and used a coupon and paid half price.  I cut 100 pieces into 10 inches.  Each cardboard piece needs 10 pieces of yarn.  You have to fold the yarn in half and put the loop on the inside of the cardboard and wrap it around the cardboard.  Once you have all 10 pieces wrapped around take a piece of yarn and pull the 'crazy hair' together and tie a knot around it.  Next you will need to cut the yarn hair and make a nice hair cut so that the yarn is all even.  Next you need a hot glue gun and a puffy nose and glue it on the cardboard rim.  Inside the hat you need to stuff a few cotton balls in so it puffs up to look like a head. Once you have a few of these done you can use a longer piece of yarn and string it through the hat part of the Knome and hang them up around your house!  Enjoy!

A beach theme holiday gift for my bestie this year!

This entire gift cost me less than 25.00.  I purchased the hanging board from Hobby Lobby for 10.00 - the most expensive item in this gift!  I went to the dollar store and purchased one bag of sea stone and I only needed 1 bag and had extra left over, along with the blue mini clothes pins. The burlap lace was purchased in Michael's at 50% off and paid $3.50 for a roll, the electric lights were also on clearance and I paid $1.99 for each one.  I used hot glue and burned my fingers a few times when putting the stones in place but this took about 1 hour to put together.  This is for her beach house, she wants to hang the yearly beach tags as a memory for each year they are in the new house.  Such a great memory over the years.

Miniature gifts

So every year we always do at least one prank gift fr my nieces and this year is a doosie!! I found miniature Amazon box, USPS box, a pizza box and small gift box printables.  I printed hm and the. Cut them all out by hand instead of using a machine - that was mistake number one! I couldn’t find my bone folder so help with folding on the lines so I used a butter knife and that worked great!

Mandala Stamp layout

This was such a wonderful messy fun!  I first used gesso on the page then I used Dina Wakely paints and some acrylic paints.  I spread them all over in random areas using a sponge instead of my fingers. I used my Ranger heat dryer in-between the painting and stamping.  I am using Paper Artsy mandala stamps with black ink over the paints, then once dried i used a silver Dina Wakely paint on the sides. To blur out the area I don’t want to see the paints.

Receipt artwork!!

So have you heard the latest trend in Scrapbooking is using a receipt roll and you create these cute little sections with emphera or stickers or whatever you want - it's a quick way to get a bit of craftyness done each day!

Mini notebook fun

So I purchased a few of these 3 by 9 mixed media notebooks in Walmart during quarantine and love them!  It's a little bit of crafting that makes a huge final product.  I'm using gesso for my 1st layer then I use Dina Wakely or Dyan Reaveley paints in this set.

June Travelers Notebook creation

June quarantine has to be the most creative month for me so far.  I completed an entire traveler's notebook using so many different techniques that I've learned over the quarantine time.    Amber K Creative has the best videos to watch on You Tube and fabulous digital downloads.  Kate Crane has amazing classes you can take at your own pace or alone with her live.  James Luke Burke has an excellent class for the month of July going on that I'm loving.

Some of these pictures are old but I'm ok with that I had to do something with them instead of keeping them in a box.

Enjoy!

Flip book

I recently made two flipbooks. The first was a test run and it took about a week for me to find time and do it.  here it is

The second flipbook took me about two weeks because work was hectic and I couldn’t find anytime but a little time each night before bed.

I received the template from Jenovieve Designs.

Kate Crane Designs

I recently came across a designer located in the UK.  Her name is Kate Crane and I just love her artwork.  It is a mix of mixed media, Dylusions / Dyan Reavely artwork, steampunk and just plain fun.  It makes you get back to the basic and finger paint if you want or use utensils but I tried it with my fingers and loved it.  She has courses you can take for very little money and techniques you learn are just amazing.  Here are a few of my recent creations.  I'm using Dylusions paint, Martha Stewart paints, white Posca pen, black in on a water bottle cap to make the circles and a few of my planner stamps.  I added a few circles with modeling paste for a 3D effect.

Mini album

This is a mini album that I created using the templates from Jen of Eve Designs.  You can find her group on Facebook.  This is before the pen and extra emphera added later.

The papers are Authentique Paper, Blue Fern Studios, Prima Marketing

Lawn Fawn Card Exchange

I am a member of a private facebook group for Lawn Fawn fanatics.  These stamps and die cuts are so stinkin cute.  I just started buying a few sets and love everyone so far!! It's my new addiction.  I'm not really a stamper or a card maker but now I think I'm going to add this to my scrapbooking habits!

I took a 4x6 watercolor paper taped it to the desk with painters tape and used Gelatos and then a baby wipe to smooth the colors together.  I like the background to look like the summer sky.  I then used white paint and made some splatter marks to looks like the stars.  I then added my stamp set dies of the aliens and their ships.  I used Crayola Color pencils instead of copic markers.

I'm mailing this to a member of the swap I hope she likes it!
