Here is a tag I made  this week while waiting for my TV show to come on.  It's Julie Nutting Doll stamp, bits of scrap paper as background, Prima resin butterfly, the little tiny spoon I purchased while at the Scrapbook Expo.

My Girl Layout

I love these pictures we took at the beach of my niece.  She posed so nice for the cameraman.  In this layout I used a few mediums.  I used my Tattered Angels sprays on top of my gesso, chipboard from one of my monthly kits from My Creative Scrapbook.

In this layout I used Shimmerz Dazzelerz Gummy Berry Blue, Prima Princess Collection - Ava paper, Graphic45 Botanical Tea Collection Birds of a Feather, Prima Time Travelers Collection - paper stamp, Cartographer Flowers and American Crafts DIY corkboard heart. The paper with the 3 ladies on it is from Mohonk Mountain sundry shop.  I attended my friends wedding and stopped in to buy some treats.

New layout

I think going to the Scrapbook Expo really got me pumped into doing more scrapbooking on a daily basis.  I created this layout using my papers from the Swirlydoos kit this month.  Prima Marketing Paper - Time Travelers Collection - Priceless moments, Blue Fern Studios Chipboard from my stash, Shimmerz paints Dazzelerz Tutti Frutti - pink hearts and dots on the right of the page, flowers and some random scraps I added for demension.

Julie Nutting tag

I made this tag last night.  I have a co workers birthday coming up so I figured I can make her this as a gift.  One of the new stamps I purchased this weekend at the Expo.  I was waiting for my show to come on tv so I said I can multitask and get at least one tag done.  This stamp was a bit harder to cut out as she has really tiny legs.  I used stickles this time on her hair and the body of the dress.  I also had some gesso on the tag for more 3D effect.  The outline of the dress was from my Swirlydoos Kit this month - AC Zazz glitter glue.  Prima Flowers, tags from the kit as well. I also added from Butter Bee the trinkets - a dragon fly and the hummingbird. Don't mind the mess in the background that's my scrap zone!

Birchbox arrived today - Fashionista

Ipsy bag just arrived

This month's Ipsy glam bag arrived.  This month's bag is silver and has some fancy studs on it.  The bag contains: Briogeo Don't Despair Repair Deep conditioning mask; Cailyn Art Touch tinted lip gloss; NYX Dressed to Kill Fashion Victim eye shadow and a crown brush crease and shadow.

Tag I created from Swirlydoos Kit

Here is a tag I created using my new Julie Nutting stamp.  The Papers are from my Swirlydoos kit this month.  Prima The Traveler for the tag itself.  I also could not find my X-acto tag template in my stash - shocker - so I used the actual Prima card stock the stamp came in as the template - perfect size too!  I inked the side of the tag with black chalk ink, the Doll is Prima paper No. 7 and for her dress I used Prima Forever Roses.  I also added a few bling items to her dress for more of a pop!  Queen & Co Twinkle Motifs, AC DIY Shop Cork heart Sticker, Mrs. Grossman's Natural art - flowers to the bottom of the tag, I also used this purple mess to have some color as this is mostly brown.  I just purchased this at the Scrapbook Expo.

Scrapbook Expo trip pics

Bee Creative has the best adhesives. The make and take was using the Noir markers their like Copic so I had to try it.

This is Melissa Frances booth. The make and take was $1 donation to cancer.  We used the new chalk powder and mixed it with paint and then used the heat gun to dry it.  We also received a resin piece to add to the tag later.

Scrapbook Expo Convention This weekend!

I can't wait to go this weekends Scrapbook Expo convention and see some new tools and purchase a few necessary items.  I'm really looking forward to it.  I don't normally attend conventions as it's very overwhelming - that is because I want everything I see!  This time I made a plan of action and have a list of items that I want to get:  I definitely need a few of the Julie Nutting stamps; Graphic 45 papers and I'm hoping that someone will be selling the scrap easel.

I'm taking just one class that interested me it was the Cool Tools - I want to see what is new tools this year and possibly learn a new technique or two.

So many vendors and this is a small event - I've mapped out a plan of the vendors that I definitely want to get to: 

I'm sure I will run into a few members from my fav meetup.com group - The Croppers Delight NYC - sporting either a T-Shirt of Hoodie - representing!!!  What a fab group of people I met for the first time last year - the kind of people that you just love to hang out with for a weekend away!

Boxycharm box just arrived!!

The theme for this month's box is Fashion Week Fabulous!!! All items this month were full size - not samples - FABULOUS!!! I received tarte LipSurgence Lip gloss; Coastal Scents Go Palette London; NCLA Nail Lacquer Catwalk Queen; Tarina Tarantino Fleur de Lash Mascara; Hello by Harvey Prince perfume - it smells sooo good - like when you get out of the shower fresh scent.  I also received a coupon for 20% off of Tarte products and a coupon or Just for You from My Name Necklace - personalized jewelry.

New Project in the works....

From my monthly Swirlydoos kit "Wistful Blues" the last two months I received a Prima Marketing wooden box with little adorable fairies and resin items - so I took them out and started decorating the 4 little inserts.  I also used my Prima Marketing paper Princess Collection Ava, BlueFern's Ombre's Dreams - Joyce & Ginger papers, wire mess that I wrapped the little flowers around, Prima flowers of course and the little Prima Angle from the kit.  I just altered items for some reason - I guess it gives me some boundaries of what can fit in a little box instead of a blank piece of paper that is limitless!  It restricts me to only using some of my stash!!

Boxycharm just arrived today

August Birchbox arrived

My monthly Birchbox arrived today.  This month's box contains amika; Perk up Dry shampoo; Dr. Jart+; Dis-A-Pore Beauty Balm; NAOBAY; Body Radiance Lotion; Noir Cosmetics; Long-Wear Eyeliner and Benefit Costmetics; It's Potent! Eye Cream samples.  I really liked the Benefit eye cream samples and Dr. Jart+ is always a great product.

Tags for a boy's birthday

I don't normally have a lot of scrapbooking supplies for boys as all my scrapbooking is around 2 girls, so it was a great time to get rid of those stickers and stuff that I will not use in scrapbooking that I've had lying around in the bin since I started scrapbooking years ago.  When I began scrapbooking over 8 years ago it was mostly just stickers and 3D stickers - nothing like it is today - so advanced.  It is great to look back at my first scrapbook and think how I would do it differently today.  These tags where for a 6 y/o boys birthday.  I inked the edges, created round little turtle heads as the present was all Teenage Mutant Ninja turtles - I used my circle punch and then just cut out the different color eye masks and added the googlie eyes - too cute.  This little guy loves the beach, playing in the sand and in the park on the slide.
