I joined a new kit club!

So I haven't been blogging lately! I know I should do it at least once a week. I need to get my work photographed and put out there for everyone to enjoy! So here is what I have been up to lately. My subscription to Simply Obsessed has ended this month and I was looking around for another club that may have the same type of good quality products and fairly priced items. I found this club -- The Bad Girls club. The website is easy to navigate, the products are reasonably priced and I am extremely happy with the kits!

Here is a view of what I received so far...

The is the June Kit from Bad Girls Kits
This company has awesome kits and add-ons!
I really don't like paper clubs but this one I couldn't refuse.
It has more than just paper!
I was ending my subscription to Simply Obsessed and found this one with has
way more products and paper that any other club!
It is a bit more monthly but I only signed up for a 3 month subscription.

I need to be here today!

Going On's

Ok - I haven't been doing much of anything but running around like a chicken with no head. I have not done any scrapbooking since my recent trip to New Hampshire (April 26th) YIKES! I have so much to do I don't know where to start.

I just receieve the weekly email from Lasting Memories regarding a "Croptopia Cruise" that I was going to consider going on in October! I called a few people and put my deposit down!!! Although I have been to Bermuda before I need to get away again! This will be my first scrapbooking cruise so I will let you know how it works out.

I will post some of my work shortly! Have a great day!!!

Almost Time for Extreme Scrapbooking Event 2008!

Usually it is very expensive to go to a weekend getaway and they are really to me not far enough away from home, so when Lasting Memories had a weekend of classes hosted by The Button Farm, I went on her website and was instantly hooked. I enjoy her kits and they are so easy to create, the directions are great and the final product looks just amazing! I am so excited to go to this weekend getaway. It is in New Hampshire hosted by The Button Farm! This is what I call a great get away for scrapbooking and so worth the expense. You travel to a new location and meet so many other just like you! 100 people will be in a room for two days creating great new works of art! That to me is the definition of a weekend crop getaway!

This is the link to see the last ESE event of 2007 so you can see the pictures from the last event and read all the comments.

This is the link to the Button Farm Blog where you can see all the pictures of what will be creating over the two day event.

Enjoy!

Busy At Work!

Every time there is a visit a small person always has to sit at my desk and do her work!! She uses the mouse, hits the keyboard and go figure yells at the monitor. This is the future! And she will be 2 on April 2nd!!!

Today's Mood

Take this test!
Your color is red, the color of racy sportscars, blushing cheeks, and luscious roses. Red symbolizes passion, romance, and love. So, since you're ruled by red, you probably trust your feelings more than your brain and tend to act spontaneously. If you see something you want, you go for it without thinking twice — impulsive is your middle name. You don't wait around for people to make decisions, either; you dive right in. Quite the romantic, you pay close attention to your emotions. In fact, if your heart isn't in what you're doing, you won't be satisfied. Of course, even when you do pour all your energy into the projects you tackle, your impetuous nature means your passions can shift as frequently as the wind. That's why some reds have trouble with commitment. Our advice? Next time you're feeling fickle, think before you act, if possible. You might be surprised at the results. Overall, though, it's great to be red. No one lives life more completely than you do.

An artist in the making

So this is our new artist. She decided on Valentine's Day to wear her new Tutu. Here she is drawing circles and squares. At least for once she is only drawing on the board and not on her clothes!

My Japan Scrapbook Pages 1 & 2

This is the first page of my Japan Scrapbook!

This took me a long time to get it finished!

I have over 72 pages to get scanned.

I can't
wait to get them in a slide show.

A Future Diva in the making!

My inspiration for scrapbooking....

This is Kate. She will be 2 in April. She comes to our house every Thursday. She opens all my makeup cases and decides on the one lipstick that will leave your skin a bit red. She put it all over her face and had 'some' on her lips!

This is my payback for her using my makeup - I get to make her look like she comes from the movie "The Grinch who stole Christmas" the kids all have hair that's funny like this. She is going to me a handful when she is a teenager but we don't want to rush that! She is always singing, dancing, laughing and just plain happy. She certainly puts a smile on your face!

February Update!

Ok, so I finally joined a kit by the month club and it's not as bad as I thought it would be. This month's kit pictured above is from Simply Obsessed. The entire package seems to be colors and coordinates that I would have picked to do a project with. My next decision - which took some searching on the web - was to come up with what I was going to do with it. I really need to start publishing my work and get it out there.

I must recommend becoming a member of this kit club - Here is the website: http://simplyobsessed.biz/

I went to a crop this past weekend at Fordham University and just loved the group of women that get together! They could not be a nicer group of people. They share their ideas, laughs and I really had a great time. Some crops that I have been to doesn't seem to be as much fun to go to, the people don't really allow you to 'join-in' since they already have their 'groups/cliques' members already selected, I find that hard to handle so I kept searching for the right group to join and I think I finally found it. Once I use this month's kit I will post the final pics!

Happy Scrappin'

A New Year, A New Journey!

OK, so the New Year has finally arrived and I am already behind. I have so many plans and layouts that I need to finish from last year. My new year’s goal is to complete a layout a week. Yeah right! That didn't work last year so I need to devise a new plan. This year I will begin with working on my organization. There is nothing worse that knowing you have all that you need to complete a layout and can't find it, so what do I do? Buy more! Of course why not? So this year I will get organized. I went to Staples and purchased magazine holders for all of my magazines and then realized that I can use this for my 12x12 paper as well. I created with manilla folders dividers for the sections of paper.
