New book - Julie Nutting

I just received a new book I ordered by Julie Nutting called Collage Couture Studio Paper dolls - a Designs, collage cut and play!!

It's all about tips and tricks for using her stamps and collages! I can't wait to read it and re-create some if her work!

New phone cases arrived

Today I'm working from home watching my one niece and my father made her help with the mail today! She is 3 years old and carried my 3 packages to me. I opened the first one and said my phone cases arrived. She said oh you got me a new phone case and took it, ran from me and got her iPod and put it in the new phone case! Gotta love 3 year olds!!

My Miniature project....

I just started getting my 'parts' together for my Mini TV that I purchased from Ingvild Bolme's / Prima Marketing Junkyard Findings collection.   

 Here is the TV - it's really huge

I really liked this old fashioned bike that I can add to the 'scene'

here is a picture of some of the mini items - a bird cage, a fairy sitting, a bird's nest, a wooden bridge, a little sign. The box behind them is the actual TV - that's how huge it is - can't wait to get a few more mini items and start decorating....

Ipsy monthly subscription

I am a member to a monthly makeup sample subscription with Ipsy.  This month I received some fab samples: Urban Decay Eyeliner, fake eye lashes, Cailyn lipstick - love this bottle, LolliTint lip gloss, City Color White gold eye shadow.  The package this comes in is a bright hot pink bubble wrap and they always send this actual items in a fancy bag.

The membership is a whole $10.00 a month!!!

 

Croppers Delight University Classes

This weekend I was at Croppers Delight for their annual University Croppers Delight.  So far I meet a few amazing and talented women.  I was late on the first day as I went to the wrong hotel  - just like me - anyway I 1 hour late to the most intense class ever! I will stay overnight the night before next year so that I'm not late again.

This first class called Timeless is a 2 page layout.  The first page started with ModgePodge on the paper, distressting, ripping the paper and adhearing it to the background.  There are chipboard cog pieces that we embossed to look like real metal.  We created a fold out card for pictures on the clock page - so cool!  Distress Distress and smudging were making these pages look like 1920's perfect antique look.

 

The 2nd class was a suitcase along with a chipboard booklet.  We began my modge podge the tissue paper on the suitcase.  The booklet will also be vacation themed.
 


The 3rd class was an explosion box.  This was so much fun and relaxing after a day of cutting, painting, smudging.  Perfect way to end the day 1 of UCD.
 

Day 2 was awesome - here is the clock we created - using vinyl.  I need to print pics and put in the numbers section still

Here is another quick layout I put together tonight while watching tv! My new goal is to make at least two layouts a week - so far so good!! I used mixed media texture on this layout and made all the easy layers square and simple!!  This is my dad and niece Sara walking in the museum together.  The paper is Basic Grey and miscellaneous scraps - the best part of Scrapbooking everything can be used - even the scraps!!

While waiting for Intelligence to come on tv tonight I did a one page layered layout.  This is Basic Grey paper, mixed media stencil and texture paste, strips of paper a tag with Tattered Angels sprays and textured paste. I also stamped the Dusty Attic chipboard blue and the edges as I wanted to use blue from my nieces outfit in the picture. The flower is Petaloo and the tag 3D letters are from K&Company. 

 

Croppers Delight NYC - My Favorite Things Crop Event 2014

This was my first time going to this event.  I had a blast with the people I sat with.  I will definitely be registering for next years event.  Here are some of the pictures of the layouts that I was able to do this weekend.  This is one image of most of the favorite things that were handed out.  I also have a T-Shirt, water bottle and another little scrap tote.

 TAGS!!!

So I've been fascinated with tags lately and of course I didn't have my tag template with me so I improvised!! I have the Tim Holtz Collection Bubbles and I used it for making my tags.  It was rather large but so worth it - they turned out fabulous!

 

Tag 1: This started out simple, but then when I kept adding new trinkets I just kept going! On this tag I used the following:  Tattered Angels spray on the cheese cloth, Butterbee Trinket, ribbon, Kaisercraft Key to my heart collection paper Christmatic and Devine, Prima flowers, butterfly and bird.  I also added some burlap.

Tag 2:  I used Basic Grey True Love - Simple Elegance paper, Butterbee Trinket, ribbon, Prima Flowers.

 Tag 3:  Prima flowers, Hero Arts old writing stamp, chicken wire, glass mosaic rocks, lace

Tag 4:  this tag has black embossing powder around the edges, prima flowers, chicken wire, mesh sticker beneath the wire, ButterBee Trinket flower,  Tattered Angels mist spray, red, green, purple and blue, chicken wire and mesh sticker under it, modeling paste and I mixed in black/grey acrylic paint.

Layout 1: Kaisercraft Key to my heart collection - charistmatic and Devine, Prima Flowers and shabby chic frame, ButterBee Scraps trinket, modeling paste and chipboard that I textured with pink paint.

Layout Forever starts today:  Prima papers something blue collection, Prima flowers, chipboard, going to the chapel, Love's garden, giddy, kissing Tree and smitten.

Layout Life Today: Graphic 45 Secret Garden Collection, cheese cloth, Prima flowers, Prima Junkyard findings, Jenni Bowlin Chili Powder paint decor.

Layout This was the best day ever:  Basic Grey True Love & Chipboard, Prima something blue enchanted blooms, ButterBee Scraps trinket glass bottle, Ranger Patina Antique copper bike.

Printer Tray:  Prima flowers, paper iw Anna Maria Collection Jelly Roll, Anna Marie and Party & Plan, flowers, chipboard corrugated sayings, textured pint paint, ButterBee scraps corner metals.

Layout You & Me: Graphic 45 papers Secret Garden Collection, Prima flowers, Tattered Angels purple mist, gesso, stickles, modeling paste.

My project for my God Daughter Olivia

This is a picture frame I'm transforming into a beautiful present for my God daughter Olivia's 7th birthday this month.  I purchased it at Michael's with my 50% off coupon and then started to get to work.  I am just in love with texturing everything these days - it's so darn easy to do - and you can do just about everything. I used purple acrylic paint and mixed sand with it and put it all around the edges of the frame, then I added some glitter - what girl wouldn't want some glitter?  I then added the rhinestones to the sections for more bling.  I used DCWV Nanna's kids for the background paper, Prima Flowers Fleurs de prima, Anna Marie, Pink Paiselee hope chest and Shabby chic treasures angels.
